This play accomplishes a miracle, taking a true-life story of nearly unimaginable sex and violence, and making it very nearly boring. A man's desire to butcher and eat his willing lover is nothing if not dramatic, but director/writer Stephen Louis Grush's reserved, monologue-heavy adaptation leaches it of blood. The integrated film is very slick, but when the most compelling moments in a play involve a projected image of a chat room, something may have gone wrong.
