Kennedy's is a great place to stop and chat with the neighborhood folks. Pat (owner) is usually on hand and always has an interesting story to tell. Beers are inexpensive and the company is friendly!

Harry Caray's (Rosemont) Review

My folks are from Ohio and were flying through O'hare for their vacation. I told them to take a cab over to Harry Caray's and I'd meet them there to have a nice meal before the long flight ahead. They were so impressed with the service and the meal. Mom had to call me while on the trip to tell me that Dad was still talking about how big the steak was. They made me promise to meet them there for another dinner on the the return flight home.

This place is the best!! My son had a great time and thought the waiter was soooo funny! In fact he insisted on sending him the picture he took with him and a little note! The food was great and we had a blast!!

Chicago's Dog House Review

This place is great! Well priced, and really fun specialty dogs. My favs are the mayor daley and the french poodle. Absolute YUM!

They offer veggie dogs and turkey dogs for no extra cost either, which is awesome when compared to big chains such as America's Dog, they also charge less for hot dogs than the big name competitor as well.

They also have a selection of exotic dogs such as venison, bison, and alligator.

Love this cozy place, I make it a point to go here whenever I'm on campus. Literally my fav new place to eat,and it just never gets old.

Frankie's Restorante Review

Went to Frankies on the 27th of february for a friends birthday. Let me tell you this place is great with a Italian theme straight from Italy. The service from the minuite i walked in the door to the time we left was great , the food was very good and the portions where big and after our dessert we did get some lemonchello and yes it was free. The owner is very nice and asked how everything was , we did have 16 people in our party and all the food came to our table piping hot. Good job Frank we will be back again.

Over Easy Cafe Review

We love, love, love this place. The food is excellent, creative and well-prepared. Their always changing breakfast sandwiches are delicious, creative, and gigantic--half for today, half for tomorrow. I usually get their savory selections, but the brioche French toast creations are lovely as well. The first time you go, the staff greets you warmly--after that, you're recognized as an old friend. The entire staff (hostess, servers, bus staff) is gracious, accommodating, and efficient. Waiting line on weekends--but you can help yourself to coffee while you wait.

I Dream Of Sweets Review

This is my favorite new spot in Evanston. I've loved all the desserts I've tried so far and the hot chocolate is really good. The only thing better than the sweets is the atmosphere created by the owners who are warm and really fun to chat with. It's like stopping by a friend's house for coffee.

Taza Coffee & Deli Review

Taza Coffee House is my favorite neighborhood spot. The folks working at the place are always a joy to be around. Their energy only enhances the tasty coffee and sandwiches they offer. The prices are good, the people are great. This place is a feel good destination for sure.

Ten Ren Tea and Ginseng Co. Review

I've loved this place ever since I was a teenager in the 80s (ok, dating myself :D). Even now, when I'm living on the other side of the globe, this is one of my "must do and see" places when I come back to visit family. Even managed to turn an airport employee on to Ten Ren when she started wondering why I have a suitcase full of their tea! If nothing else, go and see the gorgeous tea sets they have here.

Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe Review

this new place is awesome!come have a cocktail in the VooDoo Lounge...hurricanes, mojitos, and even a martini menu.

then move on to the food....the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and all the sides are delicious, but save room for dessert!

we shared the special coconut-banana cream pie....it was a dream pie! fresh coconut..not that packaged stuff...fresh sweet bananas...fresh whipped cream...flaky crust....mmmmmmmmmm i have been to the mountaintop...

and definitely try a mom's amazing cookie while you are there...it's warm and tasty. best cookie ever!

Algonquin Records Review

LOWEST priced vinyl in the Chicago area. Good selection of LP's are well organized in wooden display bins just like an old record store.
