I feel like we have been eating at a different restaurant than the rest of these reviewers. We get great service about 90% of the time, enjoy the cozy bistro ambiance, and almost NEVER order a single thing that's not absolutely delicious. It's mine and my wife's go-to place for a great cozy dinner for two or dinner with friends. Check it out. You won't be sorry!

The place is on the skids and all signs point to Lynn, the owner. New staff, untrained. That's forgivable. Out of common liquors. Ok just once. But frequently? Two hours to get your food? Where was the owner. Schmoozing the upset clientele? No. She sauntered to the corner liquor store to buy a pack of cigs and when the customers specifically asked to speak with her she hid in the kitchen and sent out another waiter who's eye rolls said, "I'm here talking to you. What do YOU think the problem is?" Last I saw Lynn she was engaged in a loud argument with a customer who thought she should have come to the table to address our concerns. When told that she had a waitress offer us free dessert, I heard him say, "We don't have another hour. We'd like to get home."This place is done. The owner does not seem to care.

wanted to celebrate a special anniversary..what a mistake...i was never treated so rudely in my life by the hostess/manager/owner.

heard the place was revamped so i thought i'd give it a try..same lousy attitude with a fresh coat of paint!

I agree with the negative reviews. It has always been that way since it opened. We are big fans of bistros and our favorites is Le Bouchon, Bistro Zinc and Yoshi's. We were excited when La Tache opened in our neighborhood. On our first visit, the service was poor, the food mediocre and and expensive. We decided maybe it was a bad day but had the same experience the second and third time. Three strikes you're out. This restaurant sucks in all aspects.

I was told to leave La Tache and not to come back. The reason was that I complained to the waiter on how bad the food was. In fact it is awful! The fish was like rubber and I found two hairs in the steak tartar. I really wish another French restaurant would open in Andersonville. I would not go back to La Tache if it were free!

I went here after a night of busy work at my new boutique and was hoping to wind down to a nice dinner. Instead the staff ingorned me and the food was terrible. I hated it. I will never go back to this place again!! It's also way too expensive.

Wow. What's up with this place? I hadn't been in 2 years and the previous three reviews are dead on. Is this a new owner or one that is completely burned out? The poor staff is incompetent, but she's of no help. I will never go back.

I have never been so angry after a dining experience in my life. I also waited over 2 hours for my food Thurs. They were, once again, out of named liquor. The food just never came. After waiting 90 minutes, we saw Lynn the cool-headed owner meander over to the corner store for a pack of cigs. At the 2 hour and 15 minute mark, after we got our food, we politely asked the waitress to send the owner out. We wanted to tell her that we were really surprised that she had not come out to check on any of the upset clientele. To our greater surprise, she hid in the kitchen and sent out another waitress who basically told us that working there is a nightmare.

The place is definitely on the downswing and I think I know where to put the blame.

    Avoid at all costs.

The worst experience I have had in over 30 years of dining out. No "I'm sorry" for the 2 hour wait for food (after making reservations), just a lame excuse and a sneer.

How unfortunate the service, attitude and food was far under par. Let's see someone who has a french restaurant who has no French knowledge or sensibilities. It shows. I'd rather McDonalds they have better food.
