Don't be fooled by the name, the only thing Parisian about this Lincoln Park pub is the French martini with vanilla vodka, Chambord and pineapple juice. What you will find in place of Soiree's old burlesque-themed decor is a simple, sleek interior. The new digs, most of which were imported from Brazil, boast an understated elegance with hardwood floors, light-finished wood paneled walls and a matching bar.
Five flat-screens slung above the bar are all tuned into sports, which might explain the hovering line of Miller Lite-drinking dudes. The ladies can be found curled up in one of Soiree's oversized circular booths, sipping more sophisticated tipples and nibbling on the bistro's late-night fare. The menu features basic bar food items like onion rings, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers. Bacon and barbecue pork sliders are two popular choices, as well as the calamari, which can be ordered grilled, crispy or glazed with buffalo sauce.
Aside from its Chambord-fueled French concoction, Soiree's cocktail list touts a number of fruity mixes like the pear, peach, apple and watermelon martinis. There are also a few dessert drinks on the menu, including the key lime pie, the chocolate martini and the caramel apple. All martinis are $10 each, but if you're looking to do some heavy drinking, ask about bottle service first. Bottle prices range from $180 to $290 and include a selection of mixers, complete with the proper VIP treatment.
