America has been been called the "land of the free," but anyone who's gone out for a night on the town with an empty wallet can attest otherwise. Chicago bars and restaurants get into the spirit around Independence Day, offering deals that even the redcoats wouldn't be able to resist.

Mac's American Pub
11 a.m. July 3-4
All-day drink deals include $5 mimosas on July 3, and $2 PBR drafts, $3 Jameson shots and $5 bloody marys on July 4. Mac’s resident DJ spins from 10 p.m.-3 a.m. July 3 with no cover charge. Food specials include Watermelon, arugula and shaved fennel salad ($7), a half barbecue chicken with baked beans and coleslaw ($10) and corn on the cob ($2).

It's a weekend-long party at this Lincoln Park staple. Barleycorn gets the day started Saturday with brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. All-day drink deals include $5 4 Rebels Premium bloody marys, $6 4 Rebels cocktails, $5 4 Rebels Dragonbombs and $18 Bud Light buckets. Sunday features an a la carte brunch menu from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and offers all day drink deals such as $5 4 Rebels premium bloody marys and $18 Bud Light buckets. The bar features a $12 all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet including ribs, burgers, Italian sausage, sides and salads from 3-9 p.m.
